Sunday, June 19, 2016Atishay Jain

I still can't forget the amazing road trip i had last year in September. Where, I covered 500 km same day from Delhi to Dharamsala while returning back to home. I wanted to write this travel story since long but finally got a moment to have this live.

So, I started at 6 AM from Delhi with a halt in Chandigarh where i met with my ex-colleague, my best friend and my mentor - Jasmeet Singh.

Just 50 km before reaching to Dharamsala, at about 4PM, I got heavy rainfall due to which i had to wait 1 hour at a tea shop. Here is the moment-

Then i got late, & it started getting dark, So i decided to stay somewhere in a village named as Dehra (50 km before Dharmasala), Luckily i got a good hotel (River view resort) to stay, as there was no home stay or lodge in this village.

I have met these 2 amazing persons on the way and who becomes a special part of my solo journey, These 2 sardar were going to Jwalamukhi yatra and were so happy when i took this pic. I am about to send the print of this pic to them as i have their address saved.

Then, next day in the morning i left for Dharamsala, where i got to see Kangra fort on the way, which was very historical and is the oldest fort in Himalayas built by Akbar. There was also a small jain Adinath bhagwan Temple inside the fort which is popular in Jainism.

Now, After visiting Kangra Fort, I en-routed to Dhramsala directly without consuming any more time. I finally entered into Dhramsala, weather was clear and it was really nice to reach to a destination which was my first Solo Road journey. Here are some pictures, I have taken in Dharamsala.

Me with my love my partner for this amazing time

I took a small hotel in the main market and took a long rest as next day, i was all set for Triund Trek. The next story, I will cover in my next post.

I can't express, how beautiful the journey was with my love my partner - My Royal Enfield Classic 350.

The road trip was really nice and the entire journey was so smooth that I didn't know how i have covered 1000+ KMs with no issues, It was all due to the CEAT Tyre, my bike has :) In my return journey, i started at 8-9 am from Dharamsala and i reached Delhi at 9 P.M with 3 breaks in total. No lunch, I have had dinner before entering in to Delhi and i drove about 500 km in same day. It was my maximum record to ride my bike for such a long distance at a time. Thank you my friends and family for blessing me.

I’m chronicling my road trip adventure for CEAT Tyres in association with BlogAdda, Thanks & Regards, Atishay Jain :)
